Saya Tourist Sejati Kota Tokyo Part 7

*Throwback Post*

Kali ni nak cerita pasal Asakusa, one of my favourite place to visit in Japan.

Why do I love this place?

Because of the environment. Very old skool with a little bit of modern touch, gittew. If you're the type yang suka kan keaslian and wanna learn about the culture but still need technology, this is the place to be bila dekat Tokyo.

So what to do when you're in Asakusa :
  • Visit Sensoji Temple - Ok first off, it is best to visit this place during the weekend. Yes it will be very crowded. Tapi the pros is that there will be a little matsuri dekat kawasan temple tu. Ada pakcik makcik abang kakak bukak gerai kecik2 jual takoyaki, okonomiyaki semua. It's fun to watch tau!
And then along the streets to the temple, Nakamise nama jalan tu, ada banyak jual souvenirs and also food! Local snacks mostly. My advise is to try the snack stall and towards the very end of Nakamise. Dah 3 kali beli snack tu but until today duk lupa nama. Dia macam cekodok, tapi berintikan something sweets. Kena try!

  • Ride the rickshaw - Sepanjang panjang main road dekat Asakusa ni you guys confirm akan nampak abang2 and kakak2 penarik beca ni dengan rickshaw masing2. Don't be afraid to ask. Their english is not that bad tau! Broken la tapi. But still, they can speak english. Well, at least some tried. ;p
Rickshaw ada macam2 trip. You guys boleh survey dulu with path yang korang interested nak tengok. Pergi to every abang2 dan kakak2 gagah tu. Mintak nak tengok package. Sebab bukan semua from the same company. So ade yang lain2 route. Harga pun maybe lain. The price based on time. Kalau tak silap 30minutes dalam 8000yen for two person. For yang first timer datang Asakusa, I
recommend you guys amik Edo route.

It's a little bit pricey yes I know. But the experience is worth it. :)

  • Eat Meron Pan - Ini wajib cuba! Ada satu kedai old school betul2 depan Sensoji Temple ni. Hmm...how to tell the direction eh? Hmm...ok. Dari main road, selepas Nakamise, ada shrine kecik on your right. Exactly next to it ada restaurant kecik. It's easy to find. Sebab mesti ada orang beratur panjang nak kan meron pan tersebut. Sebab meron pan dia sedap! Serious!
It cost at 170yen seketul kalau tak silap. Size dia besar. So beli 1 je cukup. Makan sambil pusing2 Sensoji Temple. Fefeeling dorama jepun gitu. Ahahahahahhah!

  • Eat at any Okonomiyaki Restaurant - One thing I always look forward in Asakusa is to try to self cook Okonomiyaki. There are some restaurants dekat Asakusa yang ada this type of self service. The restaurant that I went to named Hyoutan. Tapi ade je lagi banyak choices. Just ask around. Or senang, just tanya je abang2 and kakak2 beca. Diorang confirm tau. :)
Sebenarnya ada je any other restaurant Okonomiyaki all around Tokyo. Cuma I prefer this one yang dekat Asakusa sebab terasa japanese dia. So boleh la nak fefeeling dorama Jepun, gittew!
         Ahahahahahahh!

This one dekat Yokohama. I don't remember the name of the restaurant tho. ;p
  • Ride the River-cruise - Naik river cruise ni sekali je. Itu pun nasib baik ada orang bawak. The next 2 trip tak pergi, sebab I don't know how to get there, plus bila ingat balik dia stop dekat mana tu yang nak berpinau mata. Sebab jauh gila. But this was one of the best experience gak.
The fee kalau tak silap start at around 1100yen gak. Do check for more information about this ride. Sebab so far, I didn't actually found any. Sebab tu I gave up on going here without guidance rasenye.

  • Visit Hanayashiki Theme Park - Siapa sangka ada theme park dekat tempat yang macam ni. Ade hokay! Theme park ni dah more than hundred years old. And tersorok sikit location dia. Just look up and you'll see some of the rides. Jalan je ke arah sana, confirm jumpa.
I am always looking forward to go here everytime pergi Asakusa. Because I just LOVE theme park. I love rides. Rollercoaster especially. Plus, this is where they film that short dorama, Tokio~Chichi he no Dengon~. So technically Sakurai Sho and Kokubun Taichi had been here! Homagah! *grin grin*

Admission fee is at 900yen. Lepas tu you can buy la ride's coupon at 100yen per coupon. Saya selalu beli 11 coupon sekali gus. And usually I spend less than 3000yen pun dalam ni. Extreme ride tak banyak sangat. Tapi the environment is what I am looking forward to. :)

Okay so that's basically what I did in Asakusa back then. Maybe tak banyak yang saya boleh kongsi, sebab I didn't explore banyak tempat lagi. Tapi ini pretty much apa yang saya rasa perkara yang best yang saya nampak dekat Asakusa ni. I would love to come here again sometimes in the future.

I love this place. And I'm sure that you would too! :)

Okbye!
