Day 4 - Tokyo Tower!
Going out without a map today was a total gamble for us. Because honestly, I rely 100% on my memory of Google map to get to the Tokyo Tower.
To be honest, before we arrived in Japan, I did study the road and the train line for a whole month. So I was pretty sure about 'We don't need a map!' thing. And I was pretty much confidence with my memory that I convinced Nanu about it.
So on that day, we took Hibiya Line from Minami-senju to Kamiyacho. It cost us 190yen for a trip. That was around RM7.
Yes peep! Mahal! I know. Tapi itu dah kira murah la tu. Ingat senang nak jumpa stuff that's below 100yen in Tokyo? Susah ok! Food pun susah nak jumpa below 100yen tau! ;p
So fellow Malaysian, keep in mind that everything starts at RM4 in Tokyo. It's not really that expensive. Trust me! ;)
We arrived at Kamiyacho around 9am. After getting out of the train station, I was like "Where the fuck are we? Oh shit! I don't remember this road." Then I remembered that I told myself to look up and search for the Tokyo Tower and walk.
As soon as I saw the Tokyo Tower, I just smile at Nanu and told her to follow my lead. Keep in mind that I wasn't that very sure myself about the path that I took. But I must not panic cus if I do, both of us will, for sure.
So we just keep walking and walking until I saw this road sign.
Yes people! Keio University!! \\(^O^)//
Being a fangirl that I am, I can't help but giggling and flailing right infront of the sign for a few minutes. LOL! I am weird. I know. ;p
But apart from that, I do remember that Keoi University is located near Tokyo Tower and this time I'm sure that we are walking in the right path. And so I was right! After walking for a few more minutes, we reached the tower that I'd always dream of going to.
The view from below is awesome.
The tower is beautiful.
We spend a few minutes enjoying the view from below before making our way to the entrance of the tower. We paid around 2000yen for the entrance fee and few others amusement park that situated inside the tower building. Awesome huh?
There is 3 parts of the tower.
The first one is
The Foot Town. It's a 4-storey building located right under the tower. It's consist of an Aquarium Gallery on the first floor, Restaurants on the 2nd floor, mini attraction park on the 3rd floor and kids park on the roof top. Yes. That much!
The second part is
The Main Observatory. It's a 2 floor tower building located from 145m above ground. They have a Cafe and a Pub located on the first floor. There's not much on the 2nd floor. Ada Souvenirs Shop and a mini Shrine je. Basically the 2nd floor tempat menunggu untuk naik to the Special Observatory of the tower.
The last part is the main part of the tower,
The Special Observatory. To get to this part of the tower, you need to wait for your number to be called up on the screen and you have to queue. Yes. Beratur. And nope! Tak susah langsung. Takde masalah langsung. We both siap terlewat a few minutes lagi sebab tak perasan our number dah being called on the screen. Sibuk sangat tengok view.
Tapi memang lama lah beratur tunggu nak masuk lif naik ke special observatory tu. But once dah sampai, penat tu semua dah tak pikir dah. The view is amazing! Cus I can see the whole Tokyo from this tower.
And it was amazing!
We spend a few minutes at the top and when back to the Foot Town later after that to grab our lunch. We had our lunch at the cafeteria and ordered Pizza Italiana cus it's the only food that's without a pork. ;p
It was good.
But no chilli sauce. And the only 'spicy' chilli they have is not even spicy at all.
My taste bud is sad. ;p
Then later after lunch, we decided to spend more time at the mini amusement park on the 3rd floor. We went to the funniest Wax museum ever, cus the wax figure doesn't look like the actual person at all. And I started to wonder does Britney Spears really look like that? Yes. You read that right. They have a wax figure of Britney Spears.
But the most interesting attraction was this card game we played. It sort of like an Alice in Wonderland kind of adventure where you need to find a lock to get out of the magic kingdom. It was really funny cus I speaks a very limited Japanese and we both didn't really understand anything. But overall, it was fun!
Then we entered a haunted house. The entrance was very creepy looking. And we were kinda afraid to walk in to it at first. So we waited for any other random tourist to go in before us. Sebenanrnya, saya bukanlah penakut sangat. But you know how creepy Japanese ghost can get right? So sebab tu lah tiba-tiba rasa takut! LOL! Alasan!
But unfortunately is was a blow out! Tak takut langsung. It's not really a haunted house pun. Just a mini 3D ghost movie. Tak creepy langsung. Funny ada lah. Sebab the CG damn suck ass. Me and Nanu was like 'WTF' from the start. LOL
And then later sebab tak puas with that haunted house, kitorang naik this one mini 4D Silent Hill ride. Freaking awesome. It was 400yen for 2 person per ride. Hilarious because we're both screaming and shrieking all the way. LOL
It was already 3pm when we decided to end our Tokyo Trip and headed to Ginza before it gets dark. The walking, was tiring. But Ginza was awesome.
Cuba cuba jugak cari if kot kot ternampak Aiba Masaki and Ohno Satoshi walking around the streets. But naahh...tak jumpa pun. But seriously, the amount of Bars and Pubs in Ginza is HAMAGAD! Way too much!
It's like, pandang kiri, there's a pub. Pandang kanan, Bars. Atas, Clubs. It's everywhere!
I would wanna try going into one, one day. Just wanna experience the japanese lifestyle. Hehe.
We end the day when our feet decided they can't no longer walk anymore.
Ginza was awesome. Tokyo Tower was awesome!
I wish to go back again some day! (^__^)/
Done!
End of Day 4!
