Tokyo Trip - Day 4

Day 4 - Tokyo Tower!

Going out without a map today was a total gamble for us. Because honestly, I rely 100% on my memory of Google map to get to the Tokyo Tower.

To be honest, before we arrived in Japan, I did study the road and the train line for a whole month. So I was pretty sure about 'We don't need a map!' thing. And I was pretty much confidence with my memory that I convinced Nanu about it.

So on that day, we took Hibiya Line from Minami-senju to Kamiyacho. It cost us 190yen for a trip. That was around RM7. Yes peep! Mahal! I know. Tapi itu dah kira murah la tu. Ingat senang nak jumpa stuff that's below 100yen in Tokyo? Susah ok! Food pun susah nak jumpa below 100yen tau! ;p

So fellow Malaysian, keep in mind that everything starts at RM4 in Tokyo. It's not really that expensive. Trust me! ;)

We arrived at Kamiyacho around 9am. After getting out of the train station, I was like "Where the fuck are we? Oh shit! I don't remember this road." Then I remembered that I told myself to look up and search for the Tokyo Tower and walk.

As soon as I saw the Tokyo Tower, I just smile at Nanu and told her to follow my lead. Keep in mind that I wasn't that very sure myself about the path that I took. But I must not panic cus if I do, both of us will, for sure.

So we just keep walking and walking until I saw this road sign.

Yes people! Keio University!! \\(^O^)//

Being a fangirl that I am, I can't help but giggling and flailing right infront of the sign for a few minutes. LOL! I am weird. I know. ;p

But apart from that, I do remember that Keoi University is located near Tokyo Tower and this time I'm sure that we are walking in the right path. And so I was right! After walking for a few more minutes, we reached the tower that I'd always dream of going to.

The view from below is awesome.

The tower is beautiful.

We spend a few minutes enjoying the view from below before making our way to the entrance of the tower. We paid around 2000yen for the entrance fee and few others amusement park that situated inside the tower building. Awesome huh?

There is 3 parts of the tower.

The first one is The Foot Town. It's a 4-storey building located right under the tower. It's consist of an Aquarium Gallery on the first floor, Restaurants on the 2nd floor, mini attraction park on the 3rd floor and kids park on the roof top. Yes. That much!

The second part is The Main Observatory. It's a 2 floor tower building located from 145m above ground. They have a Cafe and a Pub located on the first floor. There's not much on the 2nd floor. Ada Souvenirs Shop and a mini Shrine je. Basically the 2nd floor tempat menunggu untuk naik to the Special Observatory of the tower.

The last part is the main part of the tower, The Special Observatory. To get to this part of the tower, you need to wait for your number to be called up on the screen and you have to queue. Yes. Beratur. And nope! Tak susah langsung. Takde masalah langsung. We both siap terlewat a few minutes lagi sebab tak perasan our number dah being called on the screen. Sibuk sangat tengok view.

Tapi memang lama lah beratur tunggu nak masuk lif naik ke special observatory tu. But once dah sampai, penat tu semua dah tak pikir dah. The view is amazing! Cus I can see the whole Tokyo from this tower.

And it was amazing!

We spend a few minutes at the top and when back to the Foot Town later after that to grab our lunch. We had our lunch at the cafeteria and ordered Pizza Italiana cus it's the only food that's without a pork. ;p

It was good.

But no chilli sauce. And the only 'spicy' chilli they have is not even spicy at all.

My taste bud is sad. ;p

Then later after lunch, we decided to spend more time at the mini amusement park on the 3rd floor. We went to the funniest Wax museum ever, cus the wax figure doesn't look like the actual person at all. And I started to wonder does Britney Spears really look like that? Yes. You read that right. They have a wax figure of Britney Spears.

But the most interesting attraction was this card game we played. It sort of like an Alice in Wonderland kind of adventure where you need to find a lock to get out of the magic kingdom. It was really funny cus I speaks a very limited Japanese and we both didn't really understand anything. But overall, it was fun!

Then we entered a haunted house. The entrance was very creepy looking. And we were kinda afraid to walk in to it at first. So we waited for any other random tourist to go in before us. Sebenanrnya, saya bukanlah penakut sangat. But you know how creepy Japanese ghost can get right? So sebab tu lah tiba-tiba rasa takut! LOL! Alasan!

But unfortunately is was a blow out! Tak takut langsung. It's not really a haunted house pun. Just a mini 3D ghost movie. Tak creepy langsung. Funny ada lah. Sebab the CG damn suck ass. Me and Nanu was like 'WTF' from the start. LOL

And then later sebab tak puas with that haunted house, kitorang naik this one mini 4D Silent Hill ride. Freaking awesome. It was 400yen for 2 person per ride. Hilarious because we're both screaming and shrieking all the way. LOL

It was already 3pm when we decided to end our Tokyo Trip and headed to Ginza before it gets dark. The walking, was tiring. But Ginza was awesome.

Cuba cuba jugak cari if kot kot ternampak Aiba Masaki and Ohno Satoshi walking around the streets. But naahh...tak jumpa pun. But seriously, the amount of Bars and Pubs in Ginza is HAMAGAD! Way too much!

It's like, pandang kiri, there's a pub. Pandang kanan, Bars. Atas, Clubs. It's everywhere!

I would wanna try going into one, one day. Just wanna experience the japanese lifestyle. Hehe.

We end the day when our feet decided they can't no longer walk anymore.

Ginza was awesome. Tokyo Tower was awesome!

I wish to go back again some day! (^__^)/

Done!

End of Day 4!

It's been a month...

It's already been a month since I left Tokyo...and to be honest, I miss it so much!

I miss the weather.

I miss the food.

I miss the streets.

I miss the friendly people.

And most of all, I miss the 7eleven.

I will try and update my Day 4 in Tokyo as soon as possible. Makin nak terlupa dah what happened in Tokyo. Need to review balik buku planning hari tu untuk ingat balik the trip.

This is not good.

Kena update cepat2 ni.

It's Monday anyway today. This is the day where blog traffic tinggi sebab everyone's in the office is still in their Sunday mood. Slacking at job semua orang nih! LOL

But good for us blogger, kamu, kamu, kamu semua yang slacking ni dah membantu naikkan blog traffic. Thank you for your not so hard work. Appreciates it.

Really. ;p

Okay. I should stop slacking now and get back to work myself.

Jaa...mata ne? *wink*

Tokyo Trip - Day 3

Day 3 - Our most favorite day of that week. :)

03/11/2011

Woke up early that day. Was really excited about goin to Akihabara. I've heard about the place so many times before. I would be lying if I said that I never once ever dream to walk around in Akiba to search for weird Otakus just for the Lulz. ;p

So that morning, as usual, we walk to Minamisenju station. I surprise myself by walking on the streets to the station and buying the train tickets like an expert. Well, thanks to google for all the in before research. *wink*

Luckily our line, Hibiya Line, has a direct line to Akiba station. So we don't need to change our train line to get to there. It took us less than 20 minutes to reach Akiba.

The first thing we did when we got there was observing and enjoying the view of Akiba. Sumpah! This is like a dream come true. Sebab sebenarnya, Akiba was our main purpose of coming to Japan. This is like the ultimate reason why we wanna come to Japan.

Sebab kami sebenarnya peminat manga dan Anime. Dan Akiba is a sanctuary for people like us. Even though kami sekarang dah tak layan manga dan Anime like we used to back then. But still, remembering all those good all days while walking in Akiba is the best feeling ever!

We arrived at around 10am and most shops open only at 11am. So we decided to had our breakfast somewhere there. We did search for a normal coffee shop. Found a few but were reluctant to enter them. We were afraid that the barista can't speak English. To our luck, we found a familiar Starbucks in the middle of Akiba. We entered the shop assuming that every Starbucks barista can speak English.

And we're right! They do! ;)

And nak tau tak apa yang best pasal Starbuck dekat Jepun ni? Sebelum order air, sila cop tempat dulu. Letak je beg dekat atas kerusi or meja. Selamat. Takkan ada orang ambil. Serious! Everywhere in Japan is like that.

Cuba kalau buat dekat Malaysia, tak sampai 10 saat, hilang!

In Japan? You can leave your bicycle anywhere unattended and nobody will steal it. Gempak kan? Boleh nampak tak betapa hormatnya orang-orang Jepun ni dengan harta benda orang lain?

Anyways, lepas dah kenyang breakfast, we started to wanders around Akiba. Otaku's everywhere. Anime's everywhere. Porn's everywhere. Yes. Porn. And by porn I mean AKB. Sorry fans. But walking in Akiba made me feel that way. ;p

Segala shop yang jual AKB's merchandise and photobook fills with soft porn stuff. Which I find kinda disgusting and weird. The worst part is, all those Wotas and Otakus, smells!! LOL! Busuk okay! Wakakakakak!

But the best part of beeing in Akiba was the gadgets shop, the games shop, the huge arcade shop and lots of lots of duty free shops! Rambang mata kejap. Semua rasa macam nak beli! Tapi tak beli pun.

Saya bukan kaki shopping! ;p

The whole day kitorang duk sibuk mencari arcade yang ada Print Club best2. Pusing satu Akiba sampai kaki sakit macam nak tercabut. Finally we found the best one in Sega World Arcade Shop. It was awesome! There's a whole floor dedicated only for purikura!

And FYI, the whole 7th floor building is an arcade! I know~ Madness!! LOL!

For lunch, we bought Takoyaki from the nearby Takoyaki shop and I surprise myself again how well I can communicate with the person behind the counter. Walaupun tak banyak sebut, but still, I know what he asked and what to reply. LOL

And then, sebab penat sangat berjalan, we decided to lepak and hangout at this one park. Just sits there and talk. Sambil makan Takoyaki.

The most awkward moment for us at that time was when all of the passers by or those people who sat besides us will look at us probably wondering where we came from. LOL! Cus after almost 3 days in Tokyo, everyone we met seems always assume us a local and when we speaks Malay, everyone will gave us this weird look, like "What language are they using?"

LOL!

But I can't forget this one Ojii-chan who sat near us at the park. He was drinking his beer and smoking his cigarettes when he notice us talking. He kept staring at us probably trying to figure out the language we're using. And we just kept talking normally as if he didn't exist. Tapi sebenarnya kitorang tengah cakap pasal dia! ;p

We went back to the Inn around 5pm that day cus I don't wanna miss watching VS Arashi and Himitsu no Arashi-chan. Yes. I still need my Arashi!

We bought our dinner at the most convenient 7 Eleven ever (well, at least to us!) and had dinner while watching to my very first live broadcast Arashi's TV Show on Japan TV! And yes. It was damn awesome! Thankyouverymuch!

Oh and by the way, we experienced our very first earthquake that day while having dinner. Instead of getting scared, I was giggling like it's a no big deal.

Weird huh? ;p

So yeah. That's it! Finally, Day 3 report is done! (^o^)/

Jaa..mata ne?

End of Day 3.

Chotto matte ne~ ;p

No. Not yet.

Belum siap lagi Tokyo Trip 3rd report saya.

Ini entry tumpang lalu nak post juga pasal cerita yang satu ini. Hehe. Tutti Frutti dah buka satu branch dekat Seremban!

Yippe!!

Saya gembira suka riang. Sebab I don't need no more to go to KL just because I'm craving to have Tutti Frutti. Save minyak. Save duit tol. Even kedai tu jauh sikit dari rumah saya. Saya tak kisah. Asalkan tak payah lalu tol. Shortcut belambak dekat Seremban ni. ;p

Sebenarnya Tutti Frutti ni dah buka since last week. But I had no idea at all. Lalu hari hari depan kedai2 tu. Tapi tak perasaan. Tengahari tadi baru buang tebiat nak toleh masa balik dari lunch nak ke office. Nampak banner "Kini dibuka".

Gembira tak terkata. Terus belok masuk simpang. LOL

Jadi tadi dah beli my favorite vanilla flavor with badam and caramel topping. Oh I loike~ ;)

End!

Just a little bit more...

Still writing my third report of Tokyo trip. Almost finish. But I'm out of words to write.

It's been a month since my Tokyo trip and I miss that place so damn much. The weather, the environment, the people and the convenient stores. Sigh...

I wanna go back.

Next year.

Kalau dipanjangkan umur. Insyaallah...

By the way, pejam celik pejam celik, it's already December. How time flies by so fast. 2011's gonna end and hello 2012. They said that it's the end of the world, next year.

I say, heck! whatever. Lets just live life to the fullest.

\(^-^)/

Now, I shall get back to writing my Tokyo trip report. Taaa~
